POSEBNI PRILOZI
The paper presents the author’s views on the initial premises for a theoretical
economic investigation. He proceeds from recognizing the human’s
dual nature, in which two original thresholds couple: individualism and collectivism.
The paper begins with a short survey of views exposed by several
economists testifying the tendency to strengthen social aspects of the economy.
With the above positions as fundament, the next part describes four
ontological premises relevant for any economic theory: economic subjects,
economic objects, relationships between agents and institutional conditions
of their activity. Special attention is paid to the role of the state as most
important social institution, whose functioning seriously impacts on markettype
economy. The concluding part of the paper addresses socially regulated
market economy practiced in most developed and civilized countries.
