Prethodno priopćenje
The paper analyzes changes in the relative position of Croatia’s exports in the EU
market during the 2000-2010 period using the constant market share method. This method
links the changes in the market share with structural and other characteristics of exports.
The infl uence of export’s product and country structure is represented by the structural
effect. All other factors that affect exports growth are contained in the competitiveness
effect. The results indicate that the stagnation of Croatia’s export market share in the EU
predominantly refl ects the lack of competitiveness, while the structural effect is only marginally
positive.
