Aim of the journal

The aim of the journal „Ekonomski pregled“ is to contribute to the publication and understanding of scientific knowledge in the social sciences, with a special emphasis on the field of economics. The papers published in “Ekonomski pregled” deal with the macro- and microeconomic aspects of the theory and practice of economic development and reflect the topical economic and political events in this part of the world. That is why the journal is a substantial reading for the researchers in the field of economic history in this region, but also for the scholars wanting to know more about the recent state of economic science in Croatia.

The journal „Ekonomski pregled“ is one of the oldest journal in this part of Europe. The first issue appeared in the year 1935 under the title „Economist“. The oldest associates of „Economist“ during the year 1938/39 became associates of the Institute of Economics, Zagreb. Taking into consideration that „Economist“ became the journal of economists at the Federation level, since 1950, as the continuation of long tradition the journal „Ekonomski pregled“ started to be published in Croatia.

The papers are primarily published in Croatian and English, but upon the decision of the Editorial board in other languages as well.

The journal is published with the financial support of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia.

Membership

Annual membership fee for the Croatian Economic Association amounts to 300 HRK for individuals and 600 HRK for institutions (legal entities), which also includes annual subscription to the journal „Ekonomski pregled“. The amount is paid to the benefit of the Croatian association account no. 22360000-1101573556 at Zagrebačka banka, with the remark „for the journal“.

Journal "Ekonomski pregled" is an Open Access journal.
